First Post! My December Glam Bag

So I'm unemployed and bored and decided to start a blog. I have no idea what it will be about, I have way too many interests to narrow it down and focus on one thing. I guess we'll see how it goes. Hopefully, it won't be the stupidest blog that's ever happened. But, we'll see.

Right now, I'm stupid obsessed with watching makeup tutorials (Michelle Phan, Makeup Geek, Pixiwoo) and I love reading Xiaxue's blog (it's beyond girly, a little bitchy and not ashamed of it. I can't seem to get enough.). I've always liked interesting makeup, but I'm super lazy. Washing myself regularly is a struggle, let alone doing my makeup and hair and keeping my nails from being a complete mess and not wearing the same pair of jeggings every day.

Anyway, I signed up for MyGlam.com and waited on pins and needles to get the December bag, cause I've got nothing else going on, believe me. (If you are unfamiliar, it's a new site where you pay $10 per month and then you get a cute little bag each month with 4 or 5 full size cosmetics. Pretty sweet deal.)

(Sorry about the picture quality, these are all with my phone. I will attempt to make an effort in the future. Also, the memory card was full in the real camera, so GET OFF MY BACK, DANG.)

It caaaame! And even the shipping package is pink and shiny and girly.

Not a huge fan of the pattern of the cosmetics bag, but it's a good size and has a mirror attached, so I will totally use it.

WHOA, DUDE, SOMEONE NEEDS A MAKEOVER.

 So here's what was inside:

A mascara by Tarte, it's supposed to curl, volumize, lengthen, make hundred dollar bills fall out of your eyeballs, basically everything. Verdict: it was good stuff! Made my eyelashes look full and long and all that good stuff.

Urban Decay eyeshadow in Sin, a champagney shimmery color. I love it. It goes on like silk. It's great by itself and I tried it over a dark, shimmery purple and it looked awesome.

Nyx soft matte lip cream in Addis Ababa (which must mean CRAZY PINK). I really like the texture and quality, but this bright pink isn't my color. I also have very small lips, which look better with gloss instead of matte, but this can still look nice layered under a gloss.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion. I've been wanting some primer for a while, it's supposed to make eyeshadow look better, last longer and stay in place. I've only tried it once so far, but I think it did what it was supposed to.

Mai Couture blemish control blotting paper. I was a little disappointed because I thought this was going to be a blush paper (though I did get a sample of two sheets of blush paper in a pretty pink and it was very nice). I haven't been using these a whole lot, but they seem to take away shine decently. Not as effective as rice paper or some powder, but if you're just a liiittle shiny, these work fine.

Here's what was inside plus a cat. He's saying "I can haz pretty?"

So after playing with everything for like, an hour, we've got... this:

AM I PRETTY?!

Bad quality closeup of the eye makeup. Urban Decay Sin on the lid, a lightish brown by Mary Kay in the crease. Not that you can see anything in these pictures. Eyeliner is Physician's Formula in Black (it came in a pack of 3 with purple and brown and they are awesome, very creamy and pigmented), the Tarte mascara and my eyebrows are a mix of an eyebrow powder and a brown Physician's Formula pencil.

On the rest of my face is Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer in 20, a bit of the darker Sheer Cover powder and Sheer Cover concealer, Jane blush in Blushing Glow, the Nyx CRAZY PINK with some Sheer Cover lip gloss over it (I'm not sure what the color is called, I just layered the ones that come with the Sheer Cover starter kit. I'm not obsessed with Sheer Cover or anything, I'm actually really over the foundation, especially since my skin is all wintery dry right now, but the concealer and lip glosses are nice).

Next month I'll review the January Glam Bag, hopefully with much better pictures.

So that's it. Pretty epic first post, right? Right!
